Bonsai trees live in small pots. This is one of the reasons why they grow slowly. The basic principle is:

small pot => small tree

You have to water frequently

You must understand that the bonsai's soil cannot hold back a lot of water. That is why so many people fail. These small trees are very dependant.

You have to feed regularly

As you water thoroughly and frequently, you wash the soil. So, for food as for water you must be careful.

You have to trim several times a year

Watered correctly and well fed, your bonsai will grow - more or less strongly according to the species. You cannot imagine how fast a small tree like this will make shoots when it is healthy.

Otherwise, the small resources in food and water of a bonsai cannot allow a free growing.

Your bonsai will ask discipline of you. You will do well if you give it a few minutes each day. This is nothing! All told, a few hours a year...

The novice frequently blame its bonsai for this necessary daily care. He should, on the contrary, accept it like a parenthesis, a calm and restful space in the stir of his life.

While you take care of your bonsai, you tie again connection with nature.

In fact, the pleasure comes from this privileged relationship between you and your bonsai.
