Is it a "modern" art?

Bonsai art is born in China, 2000 years ago. In Japan, bonsai practice appeared  during the 6^th century with Buddhism. Today, more and more people get some bonsais and try to keep them alive and beautiful. It is because bonsais are adjusted to modern life, even in town.

To tie back with Nature

Our world is more and more artificial and, little by little, we get away from Nature and real life.

The bonsai is alive, and it remembers you that every creature have essential needs and cannot survive in any conditions.

The smallest garden

In a tiny space, a small tree lives and grows. You are its gardener, and with bad care you can destroy it very quickly.

On the other hand, even if you bought an "already made" bonsai, you can modify its shape... So, you will be responsible for its appearance. Therefore, your bonsai will be the expression of your creativity!

Bonsai practice is perhaps not a modern art, but it is really an art, and it is perfectly adapted to our lives.
